Good news for District 55!

A growing residential sector!

With its experienced partners in construction and real estate management, District 55 is offering over 230 new homes in 2023, in addition to the hundreds of units already available.

Among them is the first phase of Groupe Arvisais’s LINÉA project, which offers high-end rental condos with a pool, virtual golf, and underground parking. The complex will eventually include four buildings with 40 apartments each and one building with 24 apartments.

Groupe Dessureault continues its construction projects as well. Over 44 units have been built so far, and two new buildings with 12 units each are planned for construction this fall. These new buildings will contribute to diversifying the rental offerings while maintaining the elegant and spacious signature that distinguishes this builder.

Groupe Courtois will soon offer 32 rental units for customers aged 55 and above. The first building is under construction, and the company aims to continue developing new buildings in the coming years.

Meanwhile, Groupe Robin has constructed over a hundred well-designed and bright new apartments, thanks to the generous windows in its facilities. The company is proud to participate in the SCHL program, where 10% of its units are offered at affordable prices of approximately $850 per month, including internet and parking. In terms of housing units for sale, around fifteen new, modern, and spacious semi-detached houses will also be added to the mix for 2023.

District 55 will also distinguish itself with its significant presence of green spaces, representing 14% of the entire project. One-third of the homes will be adjacent to a park once the project is done. In District 55, the residential sector will continue to grow by offering a wide range of housing options to meet the needs of future residents at all stages of their lives. Ultimately, District 55 will be a true living environment where sustainable development, abundant green spaces, and a dynamic sector will come together!

A bustling commercial sector!

“From the very beginning, the idea behind District 55 has been to offer citizens everything they need to live, eat, shop, work, and entertain within walking distance,” says Nellie Robin, President of Groupe Robin. “I am particularly proud to propose a project that brings people of all generations together and offers them safe places to have fun and be active while developing their sense of belonging to the community! The commercial sector of District 55 is developed with this vision while complementing the city’s other commercial hubs,” adds Ms. Robin.

Groupe Robin seeks to offer diversity and complementarity in the businesses present in District 55 and takes the opportunity to highlight two anniversaries. “I am proud to celebrate the 5th anniversary of La Garderie Éducative Les Rikikis, located in the heart of District 55! With its new facilities designed to promote the overall development of children, the daycare now offers 176 spots and provides an educational program in trilingual immersion,” mentions Nellie Robin.

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Trois-Rivières is also celebrating its 5th anniversary! It is the first LEED®-certified hotel in Trois-Rivières. Thanks to the success of this hotel, Groupe Robin has chosen to double the number of rooms offered in Trois-Rivières with the construction of a new hotel.

In early spring, two new restaurateurs also established themselves in District 55: Sushi Shop, offering a renewed customer experience with a lounge ambiance, and ThaïZone, with its menu of authentic and accessible Thai cuisine.

Furthermore, District 55 has the honor of welcoming two new businesses:

  • Clinique d’esthétique RF, offering high-quality beauty treatments, will welcome its first clients starting from June 13th.
  • District Golf, a golf teaching and specialized training center, will also accommodate junior camps, school golf teams from Sport-Études to UQTR Patriots, and all sports enthusiasts who want to improve their game or play on state-of-the-art simulators. This concept was born from two young entrepreneurs from Trois-Rivières, Pierre-Luc Boudreau and Yannick Bibeau. It will open its doors in fall.

A new LEED® hotel to accommodate corporate clientele on long stays!

Groupe Robin finally unveils the banner of its second hotel in Trois-Rivières, which becomes the company’s fourth green hotel with LEED® certification. The Candlewood Suites® banner will be integrated into the existing hotel to create a dual-branded hotel, the first of its kind in Quebec for the IHG® chain. “The decision to create a dual-branded hotel with our existing hotel naturally arose due to the popularity experienced by the Holiday Inn Express & Suites since its opening in 2018. By combining our two hotels, we promote synergy between teams and meet the needs of tourists and numerous businesses that require accommodations for longer stays or workers. I am proud to reintroduce the Candlewood brand to Quebec with a signature project for Trois-Rivières!” announces Nellie Robin.

The Candlewood hotel will be ready to welcome its new guests in spring 2024, offering 111 new rooms equipped with fully equipped kitchenettes designed to enhance the experience of corporate long-stay clientele. Groupe Robin likes to add a personal touch to the design of its hotels and share the roots of the region. Thus, visitors can expect a magnificent lobby made of laminated wood with a touch of history. The company plans to create about fifteen new positions to operate this new hotel establishment, which will share the reception area with the already well-established Holiday Inn Express & Suites®.

Highlights of the hotel:

  • LEED® certification
  • 111 new rooms designed as mini-apartments with a fully equipped kitchen including a refrigerator, stovetop, dishwasher, and sink. Space is also provided for remote work. Some suites will offer a separate bedroom. A total of 222 hotel rooms will be available in District 55.
  • Laminated wood structure throughout the central two-story portion that connects the two hotels and houses the shared reception area, lounges, and 1,550 square feet of meeting rooms on the second floor.
  • A sincere desire to bring the uniqueness of the region to life inside and outside the hotel and to allow transient travelers to discover the beauty that Trois-Rivières has to offer.
