Tanguay Stands Out Once Again

District 55’s Tanguay building is certainly making a name for itself – this time, by winning the highly prestigious Canadian Wood Council Award. Tanguay shares the honours with “Courtyard House on a River”, which is located in Greenwater, Washington. The representatives in attendance during the store’s inauguration noted the careful attention to architectural detail.

The architects behind the project emphasized the use of noble materials, particularly wood from Chibougamau, which can be seen throughout the interior.

This is the second award for Tanguay Trois-Rivières in building design; in February 2017, it won the Cecobois Award of Excellence in the commercial building category – more than 1,000 square metres.
